Property Description This year round, south facing 1800 square foot cottage is a true “cottage” cottage. From the large granite stone wood burning fireplace to the butcher block counter top, and the 4 piece bathroom with granite stone walls- this is truly an eclectic cottage.Situated on beautiful Fairy Lake in Huntsville where 40 miles of boating is available to you in the summer and Hidden Valley Ski Hill is a short 10 minute drive away, this 2 storey cottage is nestled in the trees. The level covered walkway from the parking area makes for easy unloading of your gear and supplies to the cottage. The walk out lower level means the upper level is literally in the gorgeous mixed forest tree tops. From the narrow wrap around deck you can see all directions across the lake. This deck does not have stairs off of it so it is a secure area for children. Borrow the canoe and explore the shoreline or rent a boat at the nearby marina and boat to Deerhurst Resort for the evening Las Vegas style show. Or boat into Huntsville, tie up at the dock and check out the lovely historic downtown or grab a bite to eat at the many downtown eateries. Back at the cottage dock the waterfront allows for easy access to the water and if you want, there is a sand beach that is shared by the residents of this private neighbourhood only a short 10 minute drive away. Inside the cottage the open concept main floor has a granite fireplace, a large living room with a TV and DVD player, dining area and kitchen. Fridge, stove and microwave ensure the cooking is a breeze. There is a door here out to the deck which will make cooking at the BBQ easy. There is new laminate wood flooring in the entire cottage. The 4 piece bathroom is on this main level too – the tub/shower combination has only a 4’ tub so good for children to bath in only. It has 3 large mirrors and they help to make this compact space seem larger. The stacking washer and dryer are in a small pantry area off the entry hall. The wide carpeted stairway leads down to the 2 very large bedrooms- one with a king bed and one with 2 double beds and 2 single beds. Each of these rooms is large enough to add the rollaway single bed if needed. Large closets allow for lots of storage space for sports gear or clothing. A forced air gas furnace down here makes the cottage toasty warm in the fall and winter months – wonderful after a day at the slopes.
