Property Description This delightfully comfortable 2 bedroom cottage on the Drag river is situated on a beautiful 2 acre forested lot with 500 feet of riverfront. A path meanders down a hill to the river rapids where there is a wide open area for river swimming. Settle in a chair, or stretch out on the large rock, but put your feet up and be calmed by the sound of the water over the rocks. This is a wonderful retreat for artists!Or, take an inner-tube for a run down the rapids! The cottage has a large wrap-around screened 'porch' with a large harvest table for 'al fresco' dining. Enjoy the sunsets here with the soothing sound of the river in the background. With north, west and south facing views, you can bet this is a great place any time of the day or evening. There's also a single bed here for an extra occasional guest. Comfortable seating will entice you to settle in here for a nap, unless you prefer the hammock for your afternoon snooze. The porch area is accessed by cedar French doors from the living area. The living room and dining area are tastefully decorated and there is a central wood-burning stove to take the chill out of the cooler spring and fall days and nights. There is a small TV, VCR, Radio, CD, iPod speakers for your entertainment. (bring own iPod) The master bedroom has a double bed, and a single bed is in the alcove, plus a small balcony for a quiet morning coffee. The second bedroom is small and has a double bed. The bathroom is a 3-piece - shower and the water is treated with a UV system so it is potable. The kitchen is large with new maple hardwood flooring. For your BBQ meals, there is a small deck area with seating to once again admire the view. There are walking trails and biking trails nearby and the river is often used by kayakers - there are several portages and if Algonquin Park is on your list, it's just an hour away.
